At Wolverine Trading we’re looking for a Trading Systems C++ Engineer to work closely with quants and traders to implement and improve sophisticated trading strategies on our established, high-performance infrastructure. Your focus will be on the translation and implementation of trading ideas into an existing system architecture and collaborating on the refinement of existing trading strategies.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with quants and traders to translate trading ideas into fast, scalable, and reliable software
  • Leverage and improve high-performance frameworks for risk management, execution logic, and trade reporting
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues to ensure strategies perform reliably in live conditions
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams to align on goals and execution, with an emphasis on effectiveness

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2+ years of professional C++ experience with a focus on high-performance applications
  • Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and modern C++ practices (C++17/20)
  • Experience and ability in multi-threaded programming and performance tuning
  • Ability to analyze experimental results and optimize system performance
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Most importantly: a drive to make things better

The total compensation range for this role is approximately  $140,000-$200,000 contingent on experience. Wolverine Trading's total compensation model includes base salary and an annual discretionary bonus.
