Job description

We are a rapidly growing IT Managed Service Provider located in the Westchester. We provide outsourced IT services to clients in the Chicago area, including industries such as Healthcare, Legal, Financial, Manufacturing, Federal Government, and many more. We are very fast paced and this position requires quick thinking and a "can do" attitude.

We are looking for an eager, hungry, and motivated individual for full time salaried employment who is willing to work hard and be a team player. In this systems engineer opportunity, the ideal candidate will be responsible for providing expert level Windows and network based technical support on a variety of issues, as well as work towards maintaining and administering our client IT environment networks, servers, and cloud. Most technical support will be either from our office or on-site at client locations in the Chicago area.

This support will involve responding to escalated technical service requests, and then identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems with client environments. You will also be involved in scoping, designing, deploying, and monitoring of client environments with both systems and network devices. A high level of attention to detail, prioritization of tasks, vendor management, support for company management, and assisting junior staff in all aspects of support is required.

Requirements:

  • Strong with VMware ESXi and Hyper-V
  • Strong cloud experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Strong with Windows Server 2016-2019, Active Directory, Group Policy and knowledge of networking
  • Working with a ticketing and monitoring systems
  • Testing and evaluating network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements
  • Supporting and administration of tier III issues.
  • Recommending and building systems and efficiencies for end-user and overall client site support both remotely and on-site
  • Strong written and verbal communication and documentation skills
  • Local travel to client sites required as needed, but is minimal.
  • Must be self-directed and have the ability to solve complex problems.
  • Must have ability to be disciplined and self sufficient.
  • Preferred to have Managed Service Provider experience
