The Director of Information Technology at Wells Lamont will play a crucial role in shaping and executing the company’s technology vision. The Director will oversee all technology operations—including ERP systems, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and end-user services—and will work cross-functionally with departments such as manufacturing, logistics, sales, and finance. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring a balance of high-level planning and day-to-day execution.
In addition, the Director will be expected to lead a talented IT team, manage vendor relationships, and ensure system continuity across all Wells Lamont locations. The ideal candidate is not only technically proficient but also a strong communicator and change agent who thrives in a collaborative, results-driven environment.

Job Summary:

The Director of Information Technology at Wells Lamont will play a crucial role in shaping and executing the company’s technology vision. This leader will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable IT systems and infrastructure that support our business growth, operational efficiency, and data security. The Director will oversee all technology operations—including ERP systems, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and end-user services—and will work cross-functionally with departments such as manufacturing, logistics, sales, and finance. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring a balance of high-level planning and day-to-day execution.

In addition, the Director will be expected to lead a talented IT team, manage vendor relationships, and ensure system continuity across all Wells Lamont locations. The ideal candidate is not only technically proficient but also a strong communicator and change agent who thrives in a collaborative, results-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute an enterprise-wide IT strategy aligned with Wells Lamont’s business goals
  • Oversee the implementation, integration, and support of core business systems, including ERP, CRM, and supply chain technologies
  • Lead cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring data integrity, privacy, and compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to identify pain points and opportunities for digital innovation
  • Manage and mentor IT team members, fostering professional growth and performance excellence
  • Evaluate and implement cloud infrastructure solutions (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS) to support scalability and remote access
  • Direct IT support services, ensuring high availability, uptime, and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain strong relationships with third-party vendors and service providers
  • Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing
  • Establish key metrics and reporting tools to monitor system performance, security, and ROI of IT investments
  • Support IT needs related to manufacturing and distribution centers, including network infrastructure and IoT systems

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or director-level position
  • Proven experience managing IT operations across multiple locations or facilities, ideally within manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise applications, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar), and systems integration best practices
  • Demonstrated experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure modernization, and SaaS deployment
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and risk mitigation strategies
  • Hands-on experience with IT budgeting, vendor negotiations, and contract management
  • Excellent leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Experience in M&A system integrations and IT due diligence is a plus

Travel Requirements:

  • Regular travel within the United States and Canada is required
    Travel will include visits to regional offices, manufacturing and distribution sites, and partner locations. Estimated travel is 25–35%, based on project and operational needs.

Pay Range:

116,000.00 - 174,000.00
