About The Role

We’re hiring a VP of Partnerships to lead and scale strategic business development at Monarch. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, you’ll be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing high-leverage partnerships that drive new subscriber growth and potential incremental revenue streams.

While fintech partnerships will be a focus, we’re also looking for someone who can think expansively, developing long-term partnerships across core financial life events like getting married, starting a family, or buying a home.. You’ll own the full partnership lifecycle and work cross-functionally to bring high-impact deals to life.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the overall partnership strategy for Monarch, aligned with core growth goals.

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate strategic partnerships with companies in fintech, financial services, and adjacent industries related to major life events (weddings, family planning, home buying, etc.).

  • Build business cases and success metrics for each partnership opportunity.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and engineering to integrate and operationalize partnership initiatives.

  • Build and maintain a pipeline of high-value prospects and long-term relationships across the ecosystem.

  • Track and optimize the performance of existing partners; double down where there’s traction.

  • Build the foundation (team, tools, and process) to scale Monarch’s partnership function as it grows.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or strategic growth—ideally with 2+ years in a senior leadership role.

  • Strong network and experience in fintech and experience building repeatable systems and scalable infrastructure for partnerships.

  • Demonstrated success closing and scaling partnerships that drove real business impact.

  • Strong strategic acumen and the ability to evaluate both short-term wins and long-term bets.

  • Excellent communicator and collaborator who thrives in a cross-functional environment.

  • High ownership mentality—you’re proactive, resourceful, and outcomes-driven.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Benefits :

  • Work wherever you want! As a fully remote company with no central office, we want you to work wherever you are happiest and most productive. Whether that’s out of your home, a co-working space, or elsewhere.

  • Competitive cash and equity compensation in a hyper growth, early stage company 🚀.

  • Stipend to set-up your ideal working environment.

  • Competitive Benefit Plans for employees based on your location (e.g. in the US we offer: Medical, dental and vision benefits and the ability to contribute to a 401k plan).

  • Unlimited PTO.

  • 3 day weekend every month! We take off the “First Friday” every month to focus on rest, recuperation, or just having fun!

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
