Kunai builds full-stack technology solutions for banks, credit and payment networks, infrastructure providers, and their customers. Together, we are changing the world’s relationship with financial services. At Kunai, we help our clients modernize, capitalize on emerging trends, and evolve their business for the coming decades by remaining tech-agnostic and human-centered.
Please read the entirety of the job description before applying. If we deem that you have not considered the requirements fully, or are being unrealistic about your experience, your application may be denied.
Kunai is partnering with a major player in global finance to modernize their systems and architecture. This particular organization within the company is investing in their platform architecture to enable other teams to build on, use, and contribute to their decisioning ecosystem. This initiative will support the many investments across the org that depend on the various decisioning products to develop and test their use cases efficiently.
Some of the objectives include:
- Advance the lower environment strategy to improve stability, increase support and reduce interdependence
- Contribute to lower environments with investments into automation, E2E observability, resiliency, service virtualization and test data management
- Apply concepts of distributed tracing, backtesting, ephemeral environments, and multi-tenant architecture patterns
This would involve identifying and hiring a new architect at Kunai, and eventually a team of reports with the express purpose of:
- Establishing a robust backlog of investments for the team aligned to the platform agenda
- Working across domains and teams within Decisioning to set benchmarks and standards
- Implementing common solutions and patterns that can be adopted or leveraged by the domain teams
- Partnering with other horizontal efforts across the company to align patterns, solutions, and target tooling
- Deliver immediate short term wins aligned to strategic objectives
For this position you will have experience with:
- Designing and provisioning cloud services and infrastructure, AWS in particular
- DevOps teams, working with distributed systems, microservice architecture, or cell based architecture
- Building and designing production ready and resilient systems
- SRE tooling, e.g., New Relic, Pager Duty, OpenTelemetry, Splunk
- One or more of these languages: Java, GoLang, Python
- Automation testing, e.g., Selenium, BDD, Cucumber, Gherkin, TestNG, Junit, Postman, JMeter
Although emphasis is on previous SRE experience, if you meet most of these requirements and can point to evidence of enterprises systems to which you've contributed, we'd love to talk to you!
