What We Need:

We’re looking for a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our growing team and help us build scalable, reliable systems that support Synapse Health’s mission. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and resilience of our infrastructure while working closely with development teams to implement best practices for automation, monitoring, and system design.

As an SRE, you’ll play a key role in bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, championing a culture of reliability, observability, and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do:

  • Design, build, and evolve scalable, secure infrastructure in our Azure cloud environment.
  • Implement and streamline CI/CD pipelines to accelerate deployment and innovation.
  • Champion observability and reliability, using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic.
  • Partner directly with development teams to define and enforce SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs that prioritize reliability and user experience.
  • Lead incident response and root cause analysis, turning every incident into an opportunity to strengthen our systems.
  • Automate everything you can, eliminating manual toil and scaling operations intelligently.
  • Contribute to capacity planning, performance tuning, and architecture decisions that position us for rapid growth.
  • Document, share, and continuously improve best practices for system operations and reliability engineering.

What You Have:

At Synapse Health we’ve intentionally built a culture of kindness, collaboration and creativity, and we consider those qualities to be table stakes for any new team member. Additional requirements include:

  • 5+ years in SRE, DevOps, or Infrastructure roles, ideally with experience in cloud-native or high-growth environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure (preferred) or similar cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (Python, Go, Bash preferred).
  • Strong understanding of networking, Linux/Windows systems, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience building and scaling observability systems and responding to real-world incidents.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • A bias toward action, learning, and improvement — especially when navigating ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to collaborate across teams.
  • Exposure to .NET/C# application environments
  • Interest in AI/ML driven infrastructure innovation.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Builder's Mindset: You see a blank canvas as an opportunity, not a blocker.
  • Startup Mentality: You’re comfortable wearing multiple hats, iterating quickly, and embracing change.
  • Mission-Driven Energy: You want to work somewhere where your work tangibly improves lives.
  • Strategic Operator: You think not just about how systems work today, but how they scale tomorrow.
  • Collaborative Spirit: You believe solving hard problems is a team sport.

What Sets Us Apart:

It’s no secret that most of us work to provide for ourselves and those we love, but just because we must work doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy it. In fact, at Synapse Health, we insist on it! We want our team members to thrive personally and professionally, which is why our benefits include:

  • Professional growth opportunities with compelling career paths
  • Healthy work-life balance culture with paid time off (PTO)
  • Medical, dental and vision insurance for full-time team members
  • 401K savings plan with employer contribution match
