Job Description - Senior Principal Scientist, R&D - Process Engineering
Position Purpose:
Responsible for identifying technology strategies that unlock efficiencies and capacity , resolve service and quality challenges, and enable growth & ESG initiatives . Work with cross-functional teams to support business case development and execute projects aligned with these strategies . Provide coaching and teaching other developers in the Process Engineering team and broadly across R&D.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Research and develop new systems and technology to deliver NA zone growth plan
- Identify novel solutions to build process technology pipeline
- Lead process equipment optimization at internal and external manufacturing facilities
- Support equipment installation execution including factory acceptance tests, commissioning & start-ups
- Prepare equipment specifications design scopes to support detail engineering and procurement sourcing actions
- Participate in technical and design reviews to assess internal and proposals to support delivery of the zone strategic plan
- Provide technical guidance to NA Zone R&D teams regarding process optimization, quality issues or new designs.
- Support career development (skills, competency) of NA Zone process developers
- Help develop organization standards and leverage industry best practices
Experience and qualifications:
- 7-10 yrs of Engineering or technical experience, preferred experience with food process engineering
- Expert understanding of process and product interactions
- Strong understanding of continuous improvement principles and tools
- Proven communication and influencing skills with cross-functional teams & external partners
- Excellent project management, research, data analysis and problem-solving skills

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$118,400.00 - $148,000.00
Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
