Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Operational Strategy will be focused on driving operational improvements within the market or function. Reporting to the Senior Director, Operational Strategy, this role will drive operational performance and business transformation across the VillageMD enterprise.
The Senior Manager is expected to provide project management leadership and hands-on support of healthcare transformation activities and organizational readiness as we continue to integrate and scale.
How you can make a difference:
- In collaboration with the Enterprise Operational Strategy team, lead strategic initiatives that enhance patient care delivery, the efficiency, scalability and performance of core business processes.
- Identify operational gaps, develop plans and implement data-driven solutions that align to regulatory requirements, payor models and organizational goals.
- Leads organizational readiness to ensure they are properly executed and meet their goals.
- Develop and execute operational strategies to support growth, improve performance and optimize resources geared towards process optimization, cost efficiency and operational scalability.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives across market, central and corporate teams execute the strategy using healthcare domain knowledge on various vendor and headcount initiatives; ensure timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.
- Use data analytics and performance metrics to inform decision-making and track the impact of strategic initiatives in care delivery, population health, digital health and value-based care models.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and reports with clear insights, recommendations and action plans.
- Support the Enterprise Transformation team to ensure objectives are met.
Experience to drive change:
- 5+ years in transformation, consulting, strategy in healthcare or a related field.
- Exceptional problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Focus on execution and results: establishing high standards for performance, setting goals and developing plans, following through and holding people accountable for results
- Demonstrated learning agility and experience working effectively across the enterprise
- Strong project management skills: experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is highly desirable
- Familiarity with performance dashboards, business intelligence tools, writing business cases and operational KPIs.
- Experience with integrated delivery systems, hospitals and Payer networks as well as electronic health records (EMR) systems, analytic platforms or population health tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, or equivalent work experience in Transformation, healthcare operations, strategy or consulting.

This is an exempt position. The base compensation range for this role is $116,800 to $146,000. At VillageMD, compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. The selected candidate will be eligible for a valuable company benefits plan, including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and access to a 401k plan.
