Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Graphic Designer at UL Research Institutes, based in our Evanston, Illinois, office. The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for leading the creation, management, and optimization of digital and print content for various platforms, with a stronger focus on digital design. This role involves mentoring junior team members, taking on more complex projects, and working closely with Creative Services clients and cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. The Senior Graphic Designer ensures that all content meets high-quality standards and aligns with the organization's brand guidelines.

What you’ll learn and achieve:
As the Senior Graphic Designer, you will play a key role in the rapid growth of UL as you:

Plan, create, and edit digital and print content, including web graphics, social media, brochures, large-format print banners, collateral, educational documents, and more.

Create, edit, and deliver professional-quality designs using Adobe Creative Suite programs, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

Oversee video production and motion graphic content using tools such as Premiere Pro and After Effects.

Ensure all creative work and content adhere to the organization's brand guidelines, maintaining brand consistency and meeting high-quality standards.

Lead the development of digital design strategies and mentor junior team members.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and Creative Services clients to achieve project goals.

Manage content schedules and streamline processes using project management tools like Monday.com.

Perform other duties as directed.

Professional education and experience requirements for the role include:

A bachelor's degree in graphic design, digital media, or a similar discipline.

Minimum 6 years of experience in graphic design or a related role.

Experience with multimedia software and tools, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.

Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.
