Jump's Clearing team ensures the reliable flow of our trading activity between our various trading venues and clearing firms across the globe. This team works closely with the sales team, software engineers, and the technical support team to contribute to the growth of Jump’s bilateral trading business. This is a great opportunity to join a world class firm and master the complexities of trading many products globally.

We are seeking to hire a candidate with strong financial operations, management and business analysis skills to join our global Clearing team based in Chicago. You will be part of a group that ensures the reliable flow of our trading activity between our various trading venues and clearing firms across the globe and will assist with the development of new business and back-office initiatives.

What You'll Do:

  • Learn and support critical daily Clearing functions, including trade capture, lifecycle management, reconciliation and break resolution across all products and venues
  • Assist with bringing new business (i.e. new products, markets, strategies, brokers, etc.) online
  • Assist with the continued development of Jump’s back-office infrastructure and finding value-add opportunities to further leverage this infrastructure
  • Assist with identifying and improving process deficiencies
  • Assist in creating and/or improving written processes and procedures
  • Regular communication with counterparties, prime brokers, traders, and various internal operations support teams in multiple regions
  • Other duties as assigned or needed

Skills You'll Need:

  • At least 7 year’s work experience preferred in a related capacity. Experience managing an operations team or sub-team, a plus
  • Bachelors’ degree in Business, Economics, Finance or related fields required
  • Deep knowledge of post-trade lifecycles of Equities, Treasuries, Futures, FX, Options, and/or Swaps, etc.
  • Experience with external relationship management, including technology vendors, brokers, banks, etc.
  • Strong project management and business analysis experience within financial operations, with demonstrated examples improving processes, supporting bringing new business online and working with Technology to build back office infrastructure
  • A strong attention to detail and desire to maintain accuracy while processing large volumes of data under strict time constraints
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to exercise good judgment and pro-active decision-making in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Accomplished communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) in English to both internal and external contacts on a global basis
  • Proven ability to maintain composure during stressful situations
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-look ups)
  • Reliable and predictable availability

Annual Base Salary Range

$100,000$150,000 USD
