The Logistics Assistant provides customer service, manages Transportation Management Systems, sources carriers, analyzes metrics, and builds relationships with carriers to enhance service offerings.

Responsibilities:
- Provide amazing customer service to clients with quick responses to requests, clear communication, attention to detail, and timely follow-up on outstanding items.
- Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to complete and manage assigned workload.
- Follow documented processes to complete assigned workload.
- Source carriers for bids, projects, or one-off needs.
- Analyze key metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide insightful reports to enhance decision-making processes.
- Identify and onboard new carriers to enhance our service offerings.
- Develop new and grow existing carrier relationships.
- Build relationships with carriers based on the company’s business needs to secure additional capacity to meet the sales team's demands.
- Negotiate rates with carriers to secure efficient capacity to meet company business needs.
- Ensure successful project completion through effective management.
Requirements:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly collaborative and able to work effectively with all departments.
- Organized with great attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365: Word, Excel (extensive), Outlook.
- Desirable experience with 3GTMS, DAT, ITS, and other market-costing data services.
- Familiarity with various web services for carrier procurement, onboarding, and monitoring.
- Proficiency in English for clear and effective verbal and written communication.
- Ability to understand and interpret complex information in English, including technical documents and client instructions.
- Stable and reliable internet service with minimal downtime and access to an alternative connection if needed.
- A quiet, distraction-free home office environment dedicated to work activities.
