Horace Mann is a purpose-driven company that is passionate about educators. Join our skilled and dynamic team as a Project Manager, where you will lead cross-functional projects within Horace Mann. This role will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to deadlines and within budget, while ensuring alignment with our strategic goals.

 Key Areas of Responsibility Include 

  • Manage multiple small or medium size projects simultaneously
  • Creates and monitors project budgets and project plans
  • Ability to develop resourcing plan
  • Identify, document and escalate issues, risks and dependencies
  • Assist with stakeholder, steering committee and project sponsor reports and communications
  • Communicate to project sponsors and management 

You’ll be a great fit if you excel in: 

  • Project Planning: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables; establish clear project plans and schedules.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders; facilitate communication to maintain alignment and resolve issues.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation plans to ensure project success.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor project progress, ensure milestones are met, and report on performance to senior management.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Product Experience in one or more lines of business
  • 1-4 years project management experience
  • Certification or course work in project management (i.e. CAPM, PMP)

Pay Range:

  • $67,300.00 - $105,700.00  

Salary is commensurate to experience, location, etc.
