Job Purpose

The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for managing a variety of systems, software and vendors including Microsoft products.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assists in maintaining server environment, including installation of server patches and vulnerability remediation, Windows server deployments, and administration of Azure and Azure Local.
  • Troubleshoots server issues, levering the use of industry standard tools and monitoring.
  • Operational installation, deployment and support for day-to-day activities.
  • Limited storage configuration and assistance with networking for servers.
  • Deploy Infrastructure-as-Code utilizing Terraform
  • Responsible for vendor appliances deployed via OVA or similar format.
  • Documentation of environment in Confluence.
  • Supports Level 1 and Level 2 technicians with trouble tickets for end users.
  • Knowledge of how emerging technologies would solve a technical problem or enhance the user experience.
  • Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience working with various operating systems, platforms and environments especially apply patches and other security updates
  • Experience with vulnerability scanners and following recommended guidance to remediate vulnerabilities
  • Excellent ability to effectively communicate technical issues both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to easily adapt and prepare for the implications of changes.
  • Strong project management skills including a record of initiating and delivering projects.
  • Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code via Terraform especially utilizing a CI/CD pipeline and modules
  • Experience using PowerShell to script actions
  • Security: Application Security, Role based access and Intune.
  • Background in process engineering and analytical abilities to learn new processes.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead small to mid-size projects.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.
  • Experience in managing projects through Jira.
  • Server Management Platforms: SolarWinds and Azure.
  • Windows Server
  • Broad knowledge of the financial services sector.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Information Technology/Computer Science/Engineering and/or equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years Experience with Microsoft Servers, Active Directory, Group Policy, File Share, Exchange and Exchange Online, SQL, DNS, Office 365 required.
  • Azure: AD, Resources Groups, Storage Accounts, Application Gateways, Web Farms, App Service required.
  • Subscription Management, SQL VM and Conditional Access Policies required.
  • Automation: Infrastructure-as-Code deployments via Terraform is required
  • Cloud platforms (IaaS, SaaS) required.
  • Azure certifications preferred.
  • Terraform certifications preferred.

Base Pay:

$138,000.00 - $145,000.00. The base salary for this position may vary depending on experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and abilities. In addition to the base salary, this role will be eligible to participate in our annual bonus program. This role will also be eligible for compensated personal time off and holidays, health benefits, 401(k) plan with generous matching and profit sharing contributions, and other benefit programs according to the Company's employment policies and subject to the formal terms of such plans and programs.
