As an HR Generalist, you will play a vital role in supporting employees and People & Community team operations by managing benefits administration, leave programs, employee inquiries, HR systems, and process improvements. You will partner closely with our VP, Total Rewards & Operations, benefits brokers, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless processes, compliance, and an outstanding employee experience.

Additionally, you will contribute to HR process improvements, project management, and employee engagement programs, such as our work anniversary program, while continuously learning and leveraging HR technology to enhance efficiency.

What you’ll do:

Employee Support & HR Inbox Management

  • Serve as the primary contact for employee inquiries, responding in a timely, customer-centric, and friendly manner.

  • Manage and triage questions related to HR policies, benefits, leaves, and Workday transactions.

  • Provide guidance on HR systems and troubleshooting for employees.

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Process employee lifecycle transactions in Workday, including hiring, job changes, compensation updates, and terminations.

  • Ensure accuracy and compliance in HRIS data entry and reporting.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline HR processes and workflows for greater efficiency.

Benefits Administration & Support

  • Manage benefits billing, integrations, and open enrollment processes.

  • Partner with benefits brokers to ensure seamless day-to-day benefits operations.

  • Support the VP, Total Rewards & Operations on benefits program administration and improvements.

Leave of Absence & Accommodations

  • Administer Leave of Absence (LOA) and Accommodations programs, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

  • Manage employee communications related to leaves and accommodations.

  • Process leave requests and maintain accurate records using Tilt.

Process Improvement & Project Management

  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, workflows, and employee-facing programs.

  • Lead or contribute to HR-related projects, including initiatives like the work anniversary program and other employee engagement efforts.

  • Work cross-functionally to implement best practices and operational efficiencies.

 

If you have some or all of the following, please apply:

  • 2-4 years of HR experience, preferably in benefits administration, leave management, HR operations, or employee programs.

  • Required: Experience using Workday for HR transactions and reporting.

  • Preferred: Comfort with Google Suite and Slack for daily collaboration.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

  • A proactive approach to process improvement and an interest in HR project management.

At BetterUp, we compensate our employees fairly for their work. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, residence location, as well as market indicators. The range below is representative of base salary only and does not include equity, sales bonus plans (when applicable) and benefits. This range may be modified in the future.

The base salary range for this role is $94,000 – $140,000.
