The Role
The Full Stack Engineer role at Fusion Risk Management is a strategic and exploratory opportunity to help build a new platform from the ground up. This greenfield project will focus on creating a modern, scalable application on Microsoft Azure using cloud-native infrastructure, modern development tools, and generative AI.

Responsibilities:• Architect and develop a cloud-native application hosted on Microsoft Azure Deliver working prototypes of key application modules to demonstrate feasibility and guide technical decision-making.• Leverage generative AI tools and modern development frameworks to accelerate engineering velocity.• Evaluate cost, performance, scalability, and tradeoffs across Azure-based implementations.• Create a reference architecture and document best practices for a scalable, future-ready platform.• Contribute to a go-forward playbook outlining team structure, required skills, and long-term investment needs.• Collaborate closely with the Office of the CTO and share learnings with internal teams to foster transparency and alignment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Ability to work autonomously while communicating effectively with stakeholders across the organization.• A collaborative and respectful mindset toward team contributions and evolving platform needs.• Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus, but not required.
Qualifications (Education and Experience)• Proven track record as a full stack engineer delivering enterprise SaaS solutions on Microsoft Azure.• Proficiency in backend technologies such as Java or .NET.• Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies including CI/CD automation, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, etc.• Demonstrated use of generative AI tools to increase productivity and innovation.• Deep expertise in Azure services including App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and other IaaS/PaaS components.• Competency in front-end development using modern MVC frameworks and JavaScript technologies.
Milestones for the First Six Months
In one month, you will:• Develop a foundational understanding of Fusion's industry, customer base, and business challenges.• Review existing use cases to understand how our clients achieve operational resilience.• Begin building relationships with internal stakeholders to align on priorities and expectations.
In three months, you'll:• Gain a deep understanding of our current product ecosystem and how we deliver value to clients.• Begin defining the technical vision and architecture.• Produce early design artifacts and architectural proposals for feedback.
In six months, you'll:• Deliver a working MVP prototype that demonstrates core capabilities.• Document implementation decisions and identify areas for technical iteration.• Present the MVP to internal stakeholders and contribute to roadmap discussions for continued development.
This position may be performed remotely anywhere within the United States except for the states of New York, California, and Colorado.
