This role is a unique opportunity to lead the management and optimization of Oracle EPM tools, ensuring our financial planning and reporting processes are seamless and future-ready. You will design and implement scalable solutions, integrating data from modern platforms to empower our FP&A team with timely, actionable insights.

This role demands technical expertise in Oracle EPM tools—PBCS, EDM, Narrative Reporting—as well as advanced skills in Groovy scripting, ASO/BSO cube architecture, and data integration. If you are passionate about challenging the status quo and harnessing new Oracle functionalities to drive innovation, this position offers a platform to make a significant impact. Please note: This role requires candidates to be based on the West Coast/PST time zone to ensure sufficient team coverage for stakeholders based in PST.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and enhance Oracle EPM tools (PBCS, EDM, Narrative Reporting) to support comprehensive budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Design and optimize data integration workflows using tools like Alteryx, ODI, and APIs to connect platforms such as Oracle ADW, Snowflake, and Databricks.
  • Write advanced business rules and leverage Groovy scripting to build flexible, high-performing planning models.
  • Architect solutions leveraging BSO/Hybrid and ASO cubes for robust system performance and scalability.
  • Develop intuitive dashboards and advanced analytics in Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Design and optimize complex allocation models, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and runtime efficiency.
  • Create and maintain workforce planning models, incorporating advanced calculations for headcount, compensation, and benefits.
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues, ensuring reliability and integrity during critical processes like forecasting and month-end close.
  • Collaborate with FP&A and cross-functional teams to define requirements, implement best practices, and deliver seamless solutions.
  • Proactively explore and implement new Oracle EPM functionalities from monthly and quarterly updates, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs.
  • Please note: This role requires candidates to be based on the West Coast/PST time zone to ensure sufficient team coverage for stakeholders based in PST.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of financial systems administration experience with a proven track record in Oracle EPM tools, including PBCS, EDM, and Narrative Reporting.
  • Mastery of Groovy/MDX scripting, advanced business rule development, and optimization techniques for both ASO and Hybrid cubes.
  • Expertise in designing and optimizing allocation models, with a focus on runtime efficiency and scalability.
  • Deep experience in workforce planning, including building models for headcount, compensation, and detailed financial scenarios.
  • Proven ability to design and maintain robust data integration workflows using tools like Alteryx, ODI, or equivalent ETL solutions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of modern data warehousing concepts and platforms such as Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW), Snowflake, and Databricks.
  • Advanced understanding of FP&A processes, including strategic planning, bottoms-up budgeting, scenario modeling, and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated excellence in performance tuning of calculations, reducing runtime, and improving user experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex system challenges under pressure.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Please note: This role requires candidates to be based on the West Coast/PST time zone to ensure sufficient team coverage for stakeholders based in PST.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience creating interactive dashboards and visualizations in Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) or Tableau.
  • Certifications in Oracle EPM, such as Oracle Planning Cloud Implementation Specialist or Oracle Data Integration certifications.
  • Mastery of Groovy/MDX scripting
  • Proven ability to automate workflows and implement advanced scheduling for system processes.
  • Experience leading large-scale financial systems transformations or standardization projects.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments with competing priorities.
