As a member of our greater Finance team, you will be faced with new challenges that will continuously leave you looking for ways to add value to the team and business units. The primary role of the Fee Reconciliation Analyst is to ensure that procedures and controls around fee reconciliation processes are effective and efficient; and that such processes should help to prevent significant errors that may arise in negative financial impact to trading teams.

The Fee Reconciliation Analyst will be a key player in reviewing the firm’s existing fee set-ups, resulting calculations and outputs against third-party reporting, identifying unexpected discrepancies, and making efforts to investigate all items that do not agree to third-party statements with the aim of reconciling them.

This role is based out of our Chicago office with an expectation to work in the office a portion of each week.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform reconciliations and validations of the firms’ global clearing, exchange, and regulatory fees and rebates as calculated within internal systems against monthly reporting from third parties such as exchanges and brokers
  • Assist in the development of standards, procedures, and internal controls around fee reconciliation activities
  • Collaborate with the Fee analyst to research and provide resolutions for unreconcilable items
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand and assist with the resolution of complex requests related to all components of the fee setup and allocation process
  • Proactively monitor fee information on statements and invoices for errors with calculations, input, and variances in fees from one period to another
  • Provide documentation of reconciliations for the purpose of supporting changes to fee schedules and fee accruals
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation reports regarding all fees reconciled
  • Serve as a key liaison between the Business Insights, Trade Accounting, Business Development, and Clearing Teams.
  • Other duties as assigned or needed

Skills You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with Excel and SQL required, experience with Python desired
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and excellent documentation skills
  • Collaborative and able to build and sustain relationships with colleagues
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible, conscientious, and easily adaptable to constant change
  • Professional demeanor and ability to use discretion when working with confidential material
  • Reliable and predictable availability
