As a member of our CIM group, working specifically with Federal Credits and Incentives (FCI) you will be responsible for the following job duties which are focused around two core concepts: your technical and quality expertise and delivering excellent client service:

Examples of the candidate’s responsibilities include: 

  • Assist with tax planning and research, as it relates to the Research and Development (R&D) credit, and other federal credits and incentives. 

  • Assist in implementing multiple projects simultaneously, which include client interviews, computations, analysis, data gathering, and coordination of resources

  • Assist with drafting opinion letters and writing other technical memoranda

  • Develop an understanding of client's business

  • Help drive the success of multiple R&D, or federal credits engagements

  • Maintain competency through continuing education and obtaining additional professional certifications 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Minimum B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university 

  • Travel to assigned client locations is required. Must have access to and ability to arrange for use of reliable modes of transportation to those locations 

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Working toward the successful completion of the CPA exam 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel 

  • Ability to work effectively on a team 

  • Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $70,400 - $84,000

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
