Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sr Manager of Business Development to join our Corporate Development team. This role support’s the Director of Business Development in leading the company’s acquisition efforts. The Manager will own the full deal lifecycle from sourcing through initial evaluation and relationship management, acting as the face of the company to prospective sellers, as well as being the point-person to sellers during due diligence.

This is a high-impact role for a proactive dealmaker who understands the collision repair landscape and thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment, and is excited for the opportunity to take a leadership role in the company’s ambitious growth efforts.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Based on guidance around prioritized markets and geographies given by the Director of Business Development -  Lead proactive efforts to identify, evaluate, and pursue acquisition targets within the South Division.
  • Build a deep understanding of local market dynamics and company and competitor footprints.
  • Collaborate with operational division leadership to ensure consensus and alignment around growth efforts and target pursuits.
  • Lead outreach efforts including cold and warm introductions, in-person meetings, and leverage the company’s extended network of partners and vendors. Serve as the primary contact for business owners, brokers, and industry partners in the division.
  • Build trust-based relationships with sellers and maintain strong engagement throughout the process. 
  • Together with Director of Business Development and a dedicated Corporate Development M&A professional, oversee initial evaluation of potential deals including commercial, operational, and financial preliminary due diligence.
  • With the support of a Corporate Development M&A professional, prepare and facilitate an investment overview presentation and working session with operations leaders and senior members of the Corporate Development team to finalize preliminary investment thesis, valuation, deal terms, and overall attractiveness of the target. 
  • Act as the primary point of contact for sellers throughout due diligence, coordinating internal teams and alleviating issues. Work cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and Operations to ensure smooth progression of deals toward close.
  • Support the director of Business Development with maintaining an up-to-date pipeline of active and potential deals in the division. Support providing regular updates, insights, and reporting to leadership on deal flow, progress towards achieving division-specific growth goals, and divisional market activity.

Education and/or Experience Required

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, M&A, or corporate development, ideally in a retail multi-site or service-driven industry. 
  • Understanding of the collision repair industry or adjacent verticals is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in sourcing and advancing acquisition opportunities from outreach to close. Experience in high performing, challenging environments and teams.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a natural ability to build trust-based relationships with business owners and internal teams.
  • Organized, resourceful, and self-starter with the ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and consensus building skills, bringing other senior decision makers along and keeping them informed throughout the process.
  • Team player.

Compensation Details:

Expected Pay Range:

$120,000 - $175,000 / Year

Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience. 

Supplemental Pay: 

This position may also be eligible for Bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives.
