Job Summary
We are looking for a talented Director of Software Engineering to build and lead the Software Engineering team at Juice Media, an Altice USA company. You will be part of a growing team building our next generation Marketing and Advertising SaaS platform. In this role, you are constantly striving to build intuitive, scalable, and secure web applications that provide high value to our clients.
Responsibilities

  • Manage web development team and process in a hands-on role
  • Build front-end internet applications using JavaScript, React.js, HTML5, CSS
  • Integrate and/or build back-end web services using Python or Node
  • Define database schemas in Redshift, MySQL and DynamoDB
  • Integrate third party API's such as Google Analytics, Facebook, Auth0, etc.
  • Participate in design and code reviews
  • Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, QA, and DevOps
  • Develop web applications on cloud platforms like AWS


Qualifications

  • 2+ years managing or leading web development projects
  • 4+ years building cloud-based web applications using JavaScript, React.js, HTML5, CSS
  • 4+ years integrating back-end web services/API's into cloud-based web applications
  • 4+ years using databases such as Redshift, MySQL (or similar) and DynamoDB (or similar)
  • Solid understanding of coding principles such as OOP, Design Patterns, Code Reuse
  • Experience building web applications that will be deployed to AWS using Docker Containers
  • Experience working in a DevOps environment (Git, CI/CD Pipelines, Jira)
  • Experience using Agile/Scrum development methodology is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field is preferred
