Position Summary:
Responsible for supporting leadership in embedding business-driven reporting and decision-making across the organization. This role will focus on developing MI processes, managing data quality, and ensuring the delivery of timely, accurate, and actionable insights. The Director, Human Capital Analytics and Reporting will collaborate closely with HR and other functional leaders across the organization to operationalize the Human Capital MI framework, helping transform data and information for effective decision making.
Position Responsibilities:
Operational Execution of MI Strategy

Implements a Human Capital MI approach, driving initiatives that enable business requirements and align with business priorities – includes development of KPIs.

Leads day-to-day operations of Human Capital MI solutions, coordinating with HR and cross-functional teams to meet project goals and timelines.

Identifies and addresses obstacles to successful MI implementation, escalating issues as necessary to maintain progress and stakeholder alignment.
Data Quality and Integrity

Establishes data standards and guidelines, along with reporting and analysis priorities, aligned with immediate organizational needs.

Implements data governance practices to maintain high data quality and consistency.

Understands data sources and reporting outputs to identify and resolve data quality issues, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of information.

Supports develop and maintain data definitions, documentation, and quality assurance processes for effective MI.
Report Development and Insight Delivery

Designs, develops, and distributes regular and ad hoc reports that provide actionable insights to support departmental and organizational goals.

Uses data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to create user-friendly dashboards that deliver insights in a clear and effective manner.

Collaborates with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and tailor MI outputs to meet specific decision-making requirements.
Team Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support

Partners with HR, corporate, and business unit teams to ensure MI initiatives align with organizational objectives and integrate with other data-driven activities.

Acts as a liaison between MI and other departments, facilitating clear communication and collaborative problem-solving.

Participates in training and supporting team members and business users on MI processes, tools, and best practices to build data literacy and promote effective use of MI resources.
MI Infrastructure and Continuous Improvement

Adopts scalable solutions by leveraging existing systems and capabilities to ensure a seamless data integration and reporting environment.

Provides user support for MI tools, managing access, troubleshooting issues, and training team members on system functionality.

Stays informed on trends in MI, data analytics, and reporting to support innovation within the team and keep the organization at the forefront of data-driven decision-making.

Participates in special projects as needed, contributing MI expertise to broader business initiatives.
Position Qualifications:
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business, Data Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related discipline.

Master’s degree in a relevant area is a plus, providing advanced knowledge and expertise in areas such as data analysis, business intelligence, or management information systems.
Experience
-
7+ years of experience in Human Capital Management Information, People Analytics, or Business Intelligence, with a proven history of leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making and business performance.

Experience with Workday or similar ERP systems, with a demonstrated ability to integrate financial, operational, and MI data to support cross-functional decision-making.

Proven experience in driving change initiatives to improve business processes and performance.

This is a hybrid role out of our Chicago, IL office
The range for this position is $124,000 to $208,000. When determining candidate offers, we consider experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location among other factors. This job is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and Kemper benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401k, etc.)
