Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive AI and machine learning strategy aligned with the enterprise, organization's risk and finance objectives.

Drive the strategic vision, development, and implementation of advanced AI and machine learning solutions to enhance risk management and financial decision-making processes.

Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data scientists, analysts, and AI specialists to deliver high-impact AI and machine learning solutions.

Innovation and Development: Drive the development of innovative AI models and machine learning techniques to solve complex risk and finance challenges.

Responsible AI: Establish and maintain robust practices for Responsible AI to ensure ethical, transparent, and accountable use of AI technologies. Ensure AI solutions are fair, unbiased, and comply with regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders to inform strategic decision-making.

Data Mining: Use data mining and extract usable data from valuable data sources to assess the feasibility of AI/ML solutions for improved processing and usage of organization data.

Business Recommendations: Use analysis to provide recommendations and advice for business leaders to maintain market competitiveness.

Product Collaboration: Collaborate with the product team and partners to understand and provide data-driven decision-making, business planning, and future roadmap.

KEY Skills/ Education:

Deep understanding of Risk management and Financial modeling.

12+ Years experience in AI data and Analytics within the financial industry. Seasoned expert with extensive industry knowledge.

Expert level of proficiency in mathematics, statistics, operations research, deep learning, machine learning
-
Financial Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry, including regulatory requirements and emerging trends in AI and analytics.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven strong cross-team collaboration, and ability to influence using strong data-driven decision approaches.
-
5+ years experience in people- leadership roles: Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing teams. Technical leader viewed as a thought leader for innovation.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Education: Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Math, or a related field.
Salary:
$153,600.00 - $285,600.00

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
