Caterpillar Inc. seeks Data Specialist at its facility located at 501 SW Jefferson Ave, Peoria, IL 61630.
Program and manage projects and development assignments. Work directly on complex application and technical problem identification and resolution. Work on infrastructure components that may be used by one or more applications or systems. Drive application development focused on business needs. Guide the development of a structured application and interface code, new program and operations documentation. Direct the development, debugging, and testing of application software for accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness. Perform integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of components.
REQS: This position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or a related field, plus 5 Years of progressive experience related to development on object-oriented and function programming languages (Python, Java, or Scala) or related occupation.
In the alternative the employer will accept, a Master's, degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or a related field, plus 2 Years of progressive experience related to development on object-oriented and function programming languages (Python, Java, or Scala) or related occupation.
Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Data integration development; (2) Building DevOps CICD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jira and Jenkins; and (3) Software tools and technologies, including AWS, Lambda, EMRC, and SQS/SNS.
Summary Pay Range:
$ 132,101.00 to $143,520
Compensation and benefits may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market, location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance, and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
