Working Location: Candidates with 2+ years of experience are eligible for in-office , hybrid or fully remote schedules. Relocation subsidies are available. At least 2 visits ( per year) to the Chicago headquarters are required. Please note that candidates must be able, willing and excited to travel.

Salary Range: $60k-$70k
The exact salary will vary based on years of experience and the level of proficiency in both hard and soft skills. It is uncommon for someone to be hired at the highest point of the salary range for their position. Job Description
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
ALIS is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Migration Specialist to play a crucial role in onboarding new clients onto our ALIS platform. You will be responsible for the entire data migration process, from initial planning and extraction to quality assurance and successful import. This role requires a strong understanding of data structures, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Collaborate with implementation teams and clients to understand their existing EHR (Electronic Health Record) and accounting systems and identify data migration requirements.

Develop comprehensive data extraction plans, outlining data sources, fields, extraction methods, and timelines.

Scope out and define data quality requirements and implement validation processes to ensure accurate and reliable data migration.

Perform data extraction from various source systems, ensuring data integrity and security throughout the process.

Transform and cleanse extracted data to align with the ALIS platform's data model.

Import data into the ALIS platform, monitoring the process and resolving any issues that arise.

Conduct thorough data quality checks post-import to verify accuracy and completeness.

Document the data extraction and import process, including data mappings and transformation rules.

Collaborate with the development and support teams to troubleshoot data-related issues.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of data migration processes and tools.
Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
-
2 years proven experience in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data manipulation techniques.

2 years experience working with SaaS platforms and understanding their data structures.

Familiarity with various data formats (e.g., CSV, XML, JSON).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with SQL and database querying.

Experience working with EHR or accounting systems in the healthcare or senior living industry.

Familiarity with data migration tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python)

ALIS asks certain candidates for quick phone calls to gather additional information – these usually last about 5 minutes and are scheduled in advance and according to your schedule. After the phone screen, candidates that are selected to proceed in the process will do an in-person (preferred) or video interview. Candidates selected for the third round of interviews will be invited to attend in person, and travel may be required. Please note that ALIS will cover all expenses related to interview travel. Candidates residing in border states within a four-hour drive or less will be reimbursed for mileage.
