We are seeking a Corporate Controller to oversee CoinFlip’s company and financial reporting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient management of financial resources. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing budgets, overseeing accounting staff, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Preparing financial statements: Creating accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Ensuring compliance: Adhering to accounting standards (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.

  • Overseeing audits: Coordinating internal and external audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Managing tax compliance: Preparing tax returns and ensuring accurate tax reporting.

  • Maintaining accounting records: Overseeing the general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Developing budgets: Creating and managing the company's operating budget.

  • Financial forecasting: Analyzing data to predict future financial performance.

  • Monitoring financial performance: Tracking actual performance against budgets and providing analysis.

Management & Leadership

  • Overseeing accounting staff: Hiring, training, and supervising accounting personnel.

  • Developing financial policies: Implementing and monitoring financial policies and procedures.

  • Providing financial guidance: Assisting with financial decisions and providing insights to management.

Qualifications:

  • Active CPA license.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent is required.

  • 10+ years of experience dealing with complex accounting matters.

  • Proven experience developing and leading a high-performing accounting and control organization.

  • Detailed experience of showing strategic and tactical vision with best-practices to guide a high-performing accounting team.

  • Demonstrates strong business judgment applied to routine and complex financial and accounting issues.

  • Proven international experience working with overseas financial operations.

  • Proven success managing complex global business entities, and proven ability to handle the financial accounting and reporting duties.

Nice to have:

  • Basic knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchains

  • General passion and knowledge of fintech and cryptocurrency

Base Salary Range: $160,000 - $200,000 USD
