The Category and Brand Management team is the central liaison for one or more partners for working with CDW stakeholders across the organization, including sales, finance, and marketing. The Business Manager's primary role is to drive alignment and engagement, while accelerating profitable revenue growth. This involves strategic management of key initiatives and investment from the partner(s). This role serves as the expert and business manager for the assigned market focus and has subject matter expertise on the solutions, partners, and associated financials therewithin.
Key Areas of Responsibility
* Accelerate engagement and alignment across the select partnerships and work in close collaboration with the respective CDW and partner State & Local stakeholders to ensure joint vested commitment in these partnerships
* Provide subject matter expertise within Product and Partner Management on CDW's State & Local GTM strategy, nuances, opportunities, buying cycles and be alert to contract needs specific to State & Local
* Engage regularly with stakeholders and always maintain an open channel of communication to ensure that all CDW and partner State & Local stakeholders are kept up to date on any and all issues, initiatives, projects, meetings, or conferences
* Analyze complex industry information to identify and execute opportunities and develop and execute strategies to increase sales in the State & Local sector
* Identifying opportunities to accelerate revenue and investments with high potential and emerging partners while also prospecting for new partner whose offerings are niche or strategic to the respective areas of government, strengthen CDW's competitive edge and provide new revenue streams
* Collaborate with the Contracts and Capture team to strengthen internal partnerships and accelerate CDW's ability to respond to and win government RFPs
* Identify opportunities to increase profitability across the partner programs, distribution partnerships, Governmentwide Acquisition Contracts and associated programs such as Bid Desk programs, VIR, COOP and Category Penetration, and develop programmatic strategies that enable this at scale
* Manage and maximize overall profitability; have a strong understanding of financial benefits and develop and execute strategies around re-investing funding in collaboration with brand and category teams
* Identify training opportunities to educate sellers and pre-sales on new product introductions, transitions, competitive advantages; develop messaging, content and collateral to support internal enablement needs
* Understand and communicate CDW State & Local partner organizational structures with key decision makers and help to foster strong executive relationships
* Mentor and coach junior team members
* Engage with CDW Procurement to help drive alignment with State & Local procurement strategies
* Provide comprehensive reporting and analysis, both internally and externally, on market performance, key brand and category performance, industry trends, and market share
* Attend and support Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to review partner performance and discuss/lead joint initiatives
* Attend and represent CDW State and Local as needed at CDW, partner and industry events, showcasing CDW's capabilities, skills and partnerships
* Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities
* Obtain and facilitate necessary partner and industry certifications
Education and/or Experience Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree and 5 years sales/marketing/project management experience, OR
* 9 years' experience in sales/marketing/project management, OR
* 4 years CDW PPM experience and 5 years' experience in sales/marketing/project management
Required Qualifications
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders
* Proven ability to engage with executive leadership effectively and strategically
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong business relationships
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
* Expert financial and business acumen
* Exceptional strategic agility and analytical skills
* Excellent presentation skills
* Proven track record of driving results Pay range: $100,000 - $154,200 depending on experience and skill set Annual bonus target of 10% subject to terms and conditions of plan Benefits overview: https://cdw.benefit-info.com/ Salary ranges may be subject to geographic differentials
