POSITION SUMMARY

We’re looking for a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our dynamic sales team. As a BDR at Veritone, you’ll play a critical role in generating new business opportunities by identifying and engaging prospective clients, showcasing the value of our AI-powered SaaS solutions. If you’re a self-starter with a passion for technology, excellent communication skills, and a hunger to grow your career in sales, we want to hear from you!

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Prospect & Qualify Leads: Research and identify potential customers and suppliers within target industries (e.g., media, public sector, legal, etc.) using tools like LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, and CRM platforms.

  • Outreach: Conduct high-volume outbound calls, emails, and social touches to engage decision-makers and generate interest in Veritone partnerships, channel partnerships and ecosystem 

  • Educate & Pitch: Articulate Veritone’s value proposition, tailoring messaging to address prospects’ pain points and business needs.

  • Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities, scheduling demos and meetings for Account Executives.

  • Collaboration: Partner closely with marketing and sales teams to refine outreach strategies and align on campaign goals.

  • CRM Management: Track all activities, leads, and opportunities in our CRM system (e.g., Salesforce) with accuracy and consistency.

  • Market Insights: Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and Veritone’s product updates to enhance conversations with prospects.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in sales, business development, or a customer-facing role (SaaS or tech experience is a plus but not required).

  • Skills:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence prospects.

    • Comfortable with cold calling and navigating objections.

    • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

    • Basic understanding of SaaS technology or willingness to learn quickly.

  • Tech Savvy: Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and prospecting platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach) is a bonus.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Attributes: Curious, coachable, and eager to grow within a high-performing sales organization.
