The role

Valtech is a global digital agency seeking a Business Development Executive to drive growth through data and AI solutions. With a hunter mindset and a proven track record of closing seven-figure deals, you will engage C-suite executives, translating complex digital trends into actionable business value. You’ll identify and pursue new business opportunities, positioning Valtech’s full-service offerings across strategy, creative, and technology. Collaborating with platform partners, industry SMEs, and marketing, you’ll drive net-new, upsell, and cross-sell revenue. If you’re a digital native with 10+ years in digital agencies or tech services, ready to lead and close transformational deals, we want you on our team.

Role responsibilities  

  • Prospect, pitch, and win new business across B2B and B2C industries, translating Valtech’s offerings into compelling value propositions for C-suite executives, focusing on data and AI projects based on Databricks, Snowflake and Segment (portfolio might evolve with time) 
  • You will have experience in selling services (not products). 
  • You have knowledge through real world experience with relationship-based enterprise sales in one or more verticals: Retail, Financial Services, CPG, Industrials, Manufacturing and Distribution 
  • Drive the sales pipeline development in close partnership with the North American team. 
  • Manage the entire sales process to ensure delivery against KPIs and targets with the strong emphasis on new business sales.  
  • Lead end-to-end presales / RFP response / pitch process through qualification, win strategy definition, engagement of appropriate resources such as solution engineers, professional services leads, partner executives etc.  
  • Participate in relevant marketing and industry events.  
  • Systematically collaborate with Valtech’s key technology platform partners in the region, e.g. Databricks and Snowflake, Microsoft, Google, SAP, and others.  
  • Accurate forecasting and revenue delivery.  
  • Keep up with industry trends in professional digital agency services and Valtech clients’ industry verticals.  
  • Keep up with client success case studies and services value proposition development within Valtech.  

Minimum qualifications 

We want all new hires to succeed in their roles at Valtech. That's why we've outlined the job requirements below. To be considered for this role, it's important that you meet all Minimum Qualifications. If you do not meet all of the Preferred Qualifications, we still encourage you to apply. 

  • 7+ years of experience as a business development professional in digital agencies or tech professional services, with a proven track record of success in new business acquisition in agency/tech professional services industry.  
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Databricks, Snowflake and Segment platforms, use cases and benefits 
  • Experience with data solutions from Hyper Scalers (Google, Microsoft, AWS) and interplay between their solutions and ecosystem partner data solutions. 
  • Proven expertise in building and maintaining sales pipelines, negotiating complex enterprise deals, and closing opportunities.  
  • Demonstrable track records selling multi-year, seven figure engagements. 
  • Personal drive to "get it done and get it done right", with the ability to make effective decisions and see them through.  
  • Flexibility and ability to adjust on-the-fly to new demands and business environments, sense of urgency.  
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and people skills working with internal teams and client teams  
  • Assertiveness, confidence, and a “company-first” mindset.  
  • Ability to work across the organization in cross-functional team to achieve common goals. 

Preferred qualifications 

  • The ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams 
  • Demonstrated success in crafting effective strategies and business cases with clients and customers for technology and design investments is preferred. 
  • A deep understanding of Digital Experience, MarCom, Commerce, Digital Intelligence / Cloud , Data / AI and a point of view on eco system platform and cloud partners. 

The benefits 

This is a full-time, salaried position in the United States. The salary range offered for this position is $150K - $185K + an aggressive uncapped commission structure.
