Position Summary:

Kemper is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join the Transformation Office. The primary focus of this role will be gathering and analyzing business requirements to support transformation initiatives across the organization.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct business analysis workshops and interviews to develop a deep understanding of business processes, opportunities, challenges, and needs
  • Validate, document, and communicate actionable business requirements to ensure that solution development progresses with a precise, accurate, and complete picture of business expectations
  • Establish agreement on requirements from stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful solution implementation
  • Translate high level business requirements into functional specifications for IT
  • Assist in solution design, development, and testing as an expert in the requirements and a liaison between business and IT
  • Provide structure to ambiguity to align others and progress towards target outcomes
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of project(s) to stakeholders, business owners, leadership, et al.
  • Create and maintain project management artifacts (charters, schedules, etc.) as needed and execute against them to ensure timely delivery of critical path items
  • All other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of business analysis experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Insurance industry or a related financial services industry experience is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Self-motivated, curious learner who can make progress in uncertain situations
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences
  • Comfortable transitioning between independent and collaborative work
  • Technical/IT knowledge preferred

  • The selected candidate will work a hybrid work schedule which will require weekly reporting to our Chicago office

The range for this position is $53,200 to $88,600. When determining candidate offers, we consider experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location among other factors. This job is also eligible for our Kemper benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401k, etc.)
