We’re seeking a hands-on Analytics Engineering Lead to head our data infrastructure and modeling efforts. In this role you will manage a small team while also contributing directly as an individual contributor. You’ll collaborate closely with our analytics, data science, and ML teams to deliver high-quality, reliable data to the whole company.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a small team of data engineers
  • Expert knowledge of dbt, including experience building complex transformations, implementing testing frameworks, and optimizing dbt workflows for performance and reliability
  • Act as a hands-on IC Analytics Engineer, building models and pipelines to serve the Data Org’s needs. 
  • Collaborate with Analytics, Data Science, and ML teams to understand needs and priorities. Own the team’s roadmap. 
  • Establish best practices for data modeling, testing, QA, and documentation
  • Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies across the data stack

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering
  • Experience with BI tools like Looker, Omni, or similar
  • Strong grasp of data warehouse concepts (Snowflake experience is a plus)
  • Track record of working closely with analytics teams and understanding business metrics
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing data/analytics engineering teams
  • Experience supporting ML teams or ML infrastructure
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Familiarity with AWS and cloud platforms
  • Understanding of data governance and compliance
