Based remotely in the US, SteelSeries is seeking a talented and experienced Sales Manager to drive profitable sales growth with select key accounts in the US and Latin America. The Sales Manager will assume responsibility for generating business opportunities for both existing and new customers, formulating and agreeing on product and promotional business plans, developing customer contacts and negotiating marketing opportunities within the accounts. In addition, they will ensure sales forecasts and sales revenue and margin targets are achieved, and play an active and positive role in the sales team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sales Manager will be responsible to:
- Develop and nurture relationships with customers and develop tailored marketing plans based on customer requirements and consumer trends
- Generate new business opportunities by identifying and targeting key accounts
- Formulate product assortment and promotional business plans for all customers
- Collaborate with the retail marketing team to devise creative marketing concepts tailored to customer/company objectives
- Plan account activities including effective product displays, services, promotional plans, store merchandising, staff training programs and sales incentives
- Monitor and analyze sales performance and market trends to identify opportunities for account growth and improvement
- Work closely with Operations team to manage customer allocations and inventory flow
- Develop strong working relationships with all internal departments, including Global Marketing, Product Management, Operations and Finance
- Fully understand all relevant corporate business and product strategies
- Fully understand all product ranges ensuring a high level of product knowledge in terms of features and benefits
- Maintain high levels of awareness of market and competitor activity, customer trends and provide internal departments with this feedback
- Play an active and positive role in the team
- Ensure sales forecasts and sales targets are achieved
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- At least 3-5 years of successful retail account management
- Club experience is a plus
- Knowledge of the consumer electronics industry would be an advantage
- Knowledge of the gaming industry or interest in gaming would be highly desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and interacting internally at all levels and with customers
- Good networking skills and abilities
- Good organizational and administration skills
- Highly focused and capable of sustaining a fast pace, dynamic environment
- A self-starter with the ability to work with little supervision and direction
- Drive and resolve any issues from end to end to maintain customer satisfaction
- Good judgement- able to make practical and realistic decisions within the scope of responsibility
- Be equally comfortable generating operational ideas and solutions, & delivering and implementing action plans
- Proven commercial acumen and ability to achieve commercial objectives
- Outstanding analytical skills and a creative, performance-driven, entrepreneurial mindset.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications eg. Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
- Bi-lingual a plus
- Travel to customers and internal meetings required
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred.
